Kari, Miles and Lily enjoying the view of the Grand Palace

imageWe are in Bangkok for 3 days . The Wats are so amazing.  I can’t imagine they could build anything this beautiful.  You would not believe how the Americans act.  Some people put their little kids up on these monkey/demons to take their photo.  Someone yelled at them but not enough. I decided I would rather be a Princess of Siam than live in The Forbidden City. The people in Thailand are nice.  They are always smiling and laughing.  Last night we had a Thai Massage, fresh fruit smoothie and Pad Thai on Khosan Road.  All of that was only $7!!

First stop….Tucson

image

We stopped to visit Lezah. She just moved downtown Tucson. She even had a spare bedroom. We spent the day watching movies and eating pizza. We left Lezah and Matt with our map of the world. They are going to track our journey. Later that day, Miles, Lily and Jeff flew to Ohio to celebrate Grandma Trudy’s 100th Birthday. Our Coastie, Karisa, went back to New London and Kari drove to Orem, Utah to visit family.

Cleaning out the pantry

image

We spent  four solid days cleaning  the house.  We were amazed!  15 truck loads of garbage/Goodwill and we were still cleaning.  The best part was clearing out the pantry with Richard and Sandra.  Canned salmon, balsamic vinegar and vienna sausages sure are delicious.  We passed on  the cans that expired seven years ago.  Looking forward to Peking Duck in Beijing next week.
