When will we ever learn?

On a trek through the Atlas Mountains….

It is important to bring gloves, hiking pole, long pants and good hiking shoes.  Luckily we were able to borrow a few of these items and thankfully Mom decided we should bring our new Gore Tex Jackets and not save them for a rainy day!

Independent People

Mom’s favorite book is An Independent People by Halldor Laxness.  We went on a quest to stay on a sheep farm and imagine ourselves as characters in the book. Mom took to the newborns right away.

Although Miles preferred to be Egill Sallagrimsson’s (Iceland’s most famous Viking and Poet) brother, Thorolf (the handsome one)

One Year Later..

We returned to the US last May 1.  On our way home we stopped at a Regatta in Worcester, MA.  Although it is just Miles and Mom, we were lucky to leave again on May 1, 2015.  This time our first stop was the Regatta in Worcester, MA.  Here we watched our favorite Coastie, daughter and sister row20150502_093024.   IMG_92871

Parent Stuff….

We arrived to electrical turned off, fines for abandoned cars(a long story), and having to return two used cars we bought the first week we were back.  Mom said the good news is the bank wants to loan us money to continue our journey!20140521_152640
