We went to visit Myanmar for a day. Once we figured out the 30 minute time change we were good to go. Lucky we had a guide who showed us this ACTUAL piece of Buddha. It was very impressive, surrounded by LED lights and so tiny. We also got to check out this amazing pagoda on the back of a crocodile.
Glorious! How blessed your family is…not because you have the good fortune to live your life so fully, but also because you have the desire to “suck the marrow out of life”. Be safe and well, for you are an inspiration to those who aspire to something greater than a new piece of clothing or the latest version of Apple’s iPhone.
With much love,
Melanie
Just a day in a place like Mynamar and you will look at everything differently. I know it will stick with Miles and am optimistic Lily realized the same. Hope you are feeling better. (Get a Neti pot, when we first moved to Flag I was sick for 6 months until I took everyone’s advise and used one)
And one more thing: Audentis Fortuna aduviat. I am not being pretentious…but your post helped me not want to give up or give in. You may never understand why I am saying this, but I felt I could not take another step this morning and this has given me a glimpse at a bigger picture than what I can currently see. Perhaps it is because I have been ill for the past several days and have not been able to see the joy in anything – not even a possibly bright future filled with friends and adventure. And so again, I thank you.
I enjoy following your adventure!! Keep on sharing.
